50/50 Friendship

I’m sick of getting close to someone that doesn’t care the least about me. Sure, we’ll have our good times where we’d laugh and muck around like friends do, but when worst comes to worst, I absolutely hate having to sit by myself and just wait for my friend to care about me when inevitably they don’t give a shit.
I’ve been friends with people before where they’d only come to me for advice and would never bother to ask how I was or anything like that. That’s not a friendship. That’s only one sided and for a friendship to work, two people have to put in the same effort as the other. Otherwise, it’s not worth it.
